1131 Old West Coast

This was a three stage project, designed to allow for an expanding family and income.

The first stage was designed as a studio, with all facilities that a young couple require.
As the family grows, the two additional wings are able to be constructed, and the space
useage altered to suit.

The home is built in a large rural setting with expansive views to the Southern Alps, so the home opens up in form to these vistas.

Roof pitches are designed to allow for maximum solar gain in winter, and protection in the summer. Steeper pitches are utilised over the entry to allow for solar panels, and rainwater is collected for use around the property.
